Dr. Karl Reid has been a Commissioner on the board of the Anti-dumping and Subsidies Commission since 2016 where he occupies the critical role of Chairman of the Audit and Finance Committee of the Agency. He is an integral member of the team of Commissioners, spearheading matters of Finance and Accounting. He has served other public sector bodies with distinction including the Consumer Affairs Commission and JAMPRO.

Dr. Reid is a Management Consultant with over 14 years of experience working with both the private and the public sector in Jamaica and the UK. He supports the development of the small business sector across Jamaica through training and interventions to increase enterprise competitiveness.

During his six-year stint at JAMPRO as a Consultant employed in the Corporate Finance Broker Unit, which was a component of the Private Sector Development Programme (PSDP) funded by the European Union and the Government of Jamaica, he provided business development services to over 50 businesses and trained over 120 potential and existing entrepreneurs in business/financial management principles/practices through workshops (PowerPoint presentations). He also prepared project proposals to solicit funding for clients outside of the EU-funded Program.

Dr. Reid has over 30 years of business experience at senior management levels.

Dr. Reid holds a Ph.D. in Business Management and MBA majoring in Accounting and Finance. He is certified as Enterprise Development Advisor by International Trade Centre (ITC) and is a member of the Chartered Management Institute, United Kingdom.
