A Regional Resource, A Centre for Trade Excellence

The ANTI-DUMPING & SUBSIDIES COMMISSION of Jamaica has developed expertise in World Trade Organization (WTO) Agreements, particularly in trade remedies, to offer its services to other governments in the region and the architects of the CSME as they seek to fulfil their obligations to their international trading partners, as well as to its domestic constituents in this increasingly globalized environment. The Commission can offer expertise and training which is currently unparalleled in the region, to assist in all or any combination of the following services and expertise:

  • Drafting WTO compliant legislation, or
  • Reviewing and advising on legislative scheme for WTO compliance
  • Design of implementation regime compliant with WTO and other trading arrangements
  • Establishment of a competent National Investigating and Adjudicative Authority, including financial, budget components
  • Providing Investigative and Reporting Services – legal, economic, financial analysis and case management – to adjudicative authorities in other jurisdictions.
  • Training of Commissioners, Officers, Public Officials in Trade Remedies and Related Matters
  • Identifying and Securing Technical Assistance/Funding Sources for Development
  • Internships at the Commission
